Imagine being blind your whole life.

You have never seen the faces of the people you love. Never watched a sunrise. Never seen the beauty of the world God created.

Then one day, you hear that Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.

Crowds are pressing around Him, but you begin to shout for mercy.

And suddenly everything changes. In the Gospels, we repeatedly see people just like this—desperate, sick, broken, and hopeless—encountering Jesus. And when they do, everything changes.

While the Gospel writers tell us that Jesus performed far more miracles than could be recorded (John 21:25), Scripture specifically describes dozens of powerful moments in which Jesus demonstrated His authority over sickness, nature, demons, and even death. The Bible records Jesus' healing the sick, restoring sight to the blind, cleansing lepers, raising the dead, and demonstrating the power of God's kingdom.

“Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book.” — John 20:30

In this post, we’ll walk through 37 healings and miracles of Jesus in the Bible, discovering what they teach us about Christ and why these miracles still matter for our faith today.

Why Jesus Performed Miracles

Jesus’ miracles had a purpose. They were not simply acts of kindness or moments of compassion—although they certainly included those things.

The miracles of Jesus showed:

His authority over sickness

His power over nature

His victory over demons

His authority even over death

They also confirmed that He was the Messiah.

As the Gospel of John explains:

“These are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God.” — John 20:31

Each miracle reveals something about who Jesus is and what the kingdom of God looks like.

37 Jesus Healings and Miracles in chronological order in the Bible

To help you see the bigger picture of Jesus’ ministry, these 37 miracles are arranged in a chronological flow that follows the unfolding story of the Gospels. Rather than a random list, this structure allows you to trace how Jesus’ power, compassion, and authority were revealed over time—from His early ministry in Galilee, through the growing crowds and deeper teaching, to His final days before the cross and His resurrection.

The miracles are grouped into key stages of His ministry so you can clearly see some of the many miracles that Jesus performed while on earth.

🌟Please take note: The exact chronological order of Jesus’ miracles can vary slightly depending on how the Gospel accounts are harmonized, but this list follows a widely accepted timeline of His ministry.

If you’d like to study these miracles more deeply, I’ve created a printable chart of the 37 miracles of Jesus that brings everything together in one clear, easy-to-follow layout. It’s perfect for personal Bible study, quiet time, or keeping in your journal—and it also includes a group license, so you can confidently use it in church groups, Bible studies, or with friends. It’s a simple way to keep the full picture of Jesus’ miracles right in front of you as you grow in your understanding of Scripture.

What Jesus’ Miracles Reveal

These miracles show us something powerful about Jesus.

They reveal:

• His compassion for suffering people

• His authority over sickness and nature

• His power over evil

• His victory over death itself

But most importantly, they point to who He truly is — the Son of God and the Savior of the world.

The blind received sight. The lame walked. The dead were raised.

These miracles showed that Jesus had authority over sickness, nature, demons, and even death itself.

But the greatest miracle of all was the mission He came to accomplish — bringing redemption to the world through the cross and resurrection.

From Genesis to Revelation, the entire Bible tells this story.
