Pastor's Wife Appreciation Month

Did you know that March every year is Pastor's Wife Appreciation Month?

Pastor's Wife Appreciation Month is a time dedicated to recognizing and honoring the contributions, sacrifices, and support that pastors' wives provide to their husbands' pastoral ministries and to the church community as a whole.

The concept behind Pastor's Wife Appreciation Month is to acknowledge the often behind-the-scenes work that pastors' wives do, including offering emotional support to their husbands, participating in ministry activities, providing hospitality, and often serving in leadership or supportive roles within the church. Their role can include a wide range of responsibilities, from counseling and teaching to organizing events and leading ministries, all while balancing family life and, in some cases, their own careers.

During Pastor's Wife Appreciation Month, church members might express their gratitude through personalized notes, gifts, public acknowledgments, or events designed to honor and celebrate the pastor's wife. This observance is a way for the church community to show appreciation for the pastor's wife's dedication and to encourage her in her own spiritual journey and ministry efforts. It's an opportunity to remind her that her work and sacrifice are seen, valued, and deeply appreciated by those she serves alongside.

Prayers For Pastor's Wife

I have to be honest with you, if you are new to Scriptural Grace, you probably don't know that I am a Pastor's wife. I know firsthand what it is like to serve alongside my husband in church ......and I love it!

However, being a pastor's wife is a hard role to be in. There are many sacrifices that we as a family have made. God called us to serve in the churches He has called us to and we depend on Him to meet our needs. Every church we serve in has a unique battle plan. We need to be in prayer all the time, listening for God's guidance.

So I am pleading with you to pray for your pastor's wife. Your church needs you to be praying for both the pastor and his wife to be able to meet the demands of church ministry.

My passion is to help and encourage people in their Bible study and prayer life. I like to think of myself as an 'enabler'! So today, I have written a post (also available as a printable) with 31 prayer points, including scripture and I'm going to take the bold step of writing a scripture prayer for each of the prayer points.

I am challenging you to visit this post every day in March (or any time of the year) and to pray a scripture prayer each day. There are 31 prayer points so that you can pray for 31 days for your pastor's wife!
