Have you ever sat down to pray and suddenly felt stuck?
You want to spend time with God. You want to pray with faith. You want to bring your heart before Him. But then your mind goes blank, or you find yourself praying the same few sentences over and over again.
If that sounds familiar, you are not alone.
Sometimes we simply need a little help knowing what to pray for. A prayer list can gently guide our hearts, remind us of what matters, and help us bring every part of our lives before the Lord.
Prayer is not about having perfect words. It is about coming before God with open hearts, praising Him for who He is, surrendering what is weighing on us, thanking Him for His goodness, and asking Him to move in our lives and in the lives of others.

Things To Pray For
This list of 50 things to pray for is designed to help you pray with more purpose, focus, and faith.
And if you would love guided prayer prompts all year long, I’d love to invite you to join the 365 Day Prayer Challenge. It was created to help you build a consistent, Scripture-filled prayer life one day at a time.
What Should I Pray For?
You can pray about everything.
Nothing is too big for God, and nothing is too small to bring before Him. You can pray for your relationship with God, your family, your work, your decisions, your church, your community, your worries, your hopes, your future, and the needs of the world around you.
Philippians 4:6 reminds us:
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”Philippians 4:6.
God invites us to come to Him with open hearts. We do not need to pretend, perform, or polish our words. We can simply come.
How The ACTS Prayer Method Can Help You Pray With Purpose
Prayer changes when we stop rushing straight to our requests and begin by remembering who we are speaking to.
That is one of the reasons I love teaching the ACTS prayer method. It gives you a simple, biblical rhythm for prayer: Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication.
Instead of wondering what to say next, ACTS gently guides your heart into worship, confession, gratitude, and the laying of all your burdens before God, inviting and expecting Him to hear your prayers and work things out for good.
You begin with Adoration, praising God for His character — His holiness, mercy, faithfulness, power, love, and goodness.
Then comes Confession, where you bring your sins, weaknesses, distractions, and burdens before Him.
After that, you move into Thanksgiving, remembering the ways God has provided, answered, sustained, and carried you.
Then you finish with Supplication, bringing your requests to Him for yourself, your family, your church, your community, and the world around you.
This is such an essential part of prayer because it keeps our hearts centered on God, not just our circumstances. It reminds us that prayer is not a performance. It is a relationship. It is coming near to the Father who already knows us, loves us, and invites us to ask, seek, and knock.
This is also why the prayer resources at Scriptural Grace are created with intentional prayer in mind. My prayer journals, Scripture prayer prompts, and the 365 Day Prayer Challenge are designed to help you adore God, confess, give thanks regularly, and bring your requests before Him with confidence.
If you have ever wanted to pray more consistently but did not know where to begin, the ACTS method is a beautiful place to start.
How To Use These 50 Prayer Ideas
You do not need to pray through all 50 prayer points at once.
You could choose one prayer idea each day, write it in your prayer journal, read the suggested Bible verses, and turn it into a personal prayer. Another awesome idea is to make a prayer Bible. You grab your Bible, mark the scripture, and tab it. Then, when you want to pray but don't know what to pray, open your Bible and pray the selected scripture. I will be doing a deep dive into how I'm making a Prayer Bible for my son and his wife (newlyweds!) very soon.
You can also pray each topic using the ACTS method:
Adoration: What does this prayer point reveal about who God is?
Confession: Is there anything I need to surrender or confess?
Thanksgiving: What can I thank God for in this area?
Supplication: What do I need to ask God for today?
For example, if you are praying for wisdom, you might praise God as the source of all wisdom, confess the times you have leaned on your own understanding, thank Him for guiding you in the past, and then ask Him to lead you clearly today.

Things To Pray For Every Day
If you want a simple daily prayer list, you can pray for:
A deeper relationship with God
A heart of worship
Forgiveness and a clean heart
Wisdom for the day
Protection and guidance
Your family and loved ones
Strength to obey God
Opportunities to serve others
A thankful heart
God’s will to be done
You do not need to pray perfectly. Just begin. Choose one thing, open your Bible, and talk to your Heavenly Father.
Things To Pray For When You Feel Stuck
There may be days when you do not know what to say. On those days, you can pray simple prayers like these:
Lord, teach me how to pray.
Lord, help me be honest with You.
Lord, give me words when I do not know what to say.
Lord, help me trust that You hear me.
Lord, draw my heart back to You.
Lord, help me pray even when I feel distracted.
Lord, remind me that I am not alone.
Romans 8:26 reminds us that the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. What a comfort that is. Even when we do not know what to pray, God is not far away from us.
A Simple Weekly Prayer Plan
One way to use this list is to create a weekly prayer rhythm.
Monday: Pray for your personal walk with God.
Tuesday: Pray for your spouse, children, and family.
Wednesday: Pray for work, calling, finances, and provision.
Thursday: Pray for your church, pastor, and community.
Friday: Pray for friends, the sick, and those who are grieving.
Saturday: Pray for your nation, missionaries, and the lost.
Sunday: Pray prayers of worship, surrender, thanksgiving, and revival.
This kind of rhythm helps you pray with focus instead of feeling overwhelmed.
And this is one of the reasons I created the 365 Day Prayer Challenge — to help you pray with purpose all year long.
If this list of prayer ideas helped you, but you would love a more guided way to pray throughout the year, I’d love to invite you to join the 365 Day Prayer Challenge.

Final Encouragement
You do not need the perfect words to pray or a long, polished prayer. You simply need to come to God and have a desire to draw near to God.
Prayer is not about performance. It is about a relationship.
So the next time you wonder what to pray for, choose one prayer point, read a Scripture, and begin. Praise God for who He is. Confess what needs to be surrendered. Thank Him for His goodness, and bring your requests before Him.
God hears you. He sees you, El Roi, and He invites you to keep coming near.
